Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Parade Application
Help us celebrate our hometown of Mukilteo at the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Grand Parade on Saturday, September 7th. This year our parade theme is “A Day at the Beach” and we look forward to seeing the creative ways you incorporate the theme into your parade entry. Join the community spirit and festive fun in this cherished Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival tradition by submitting your application today!

Non-profit group/organization – donation suggested
Youth or Adult group/organization (athletics, scouts, car club, etc) – donation suggested
For-profit business $75
Political organization/candidate $200
GRAND PARADE TIMELINE
9:00am – Grand Parade entries begin arriving.
9:45am – All entries for Mayor’s & Spirit Award in place for judging.
9:45am – All motorized vehicles in place. NOTE: You MUST submit proof of insurance with your Parade application. Applications without proof of insurance will be returned.
10:30am – All Grand Parade entries and people in position
11:00am – Grand Parade begins.
GRAND PARADE DETAILS: Parade entries will line up on Chennault Beach Road beginning at 9:00am. Your check-in information will be sent via email a few days before. The Parade begins near Kamiak High School on Harbour Pointe Boulevard and continutes past the Mukilteo Library, approximately .7 miles.
AWARDS & RECOGNITION
We are looking forward to awarding the following for outstanding Grand Parade entries:

Mayor’s Award – Best non-commercial entry representing the Mukilteo Community. Chosen before the Parade and placed in a prominent position in the Parade lineup.
Mukilteo Spirit Award – Best entry showcasing the uniqueness of Mukilteo and why we love to call it home. Ingenuity, originality, incorporation of the Parade them and enthusiasm will weigh heavily in the judging of this award by the Lighthouse Festival Parade Committee.

JUDGING CRITERIA
Theme – Represents the “A Day at the Beach” parade theme in our unique Mukilteo way – 20 points
Originality/Creativity – Steps outside the box just a bit to reflect both the parade theme and group/organization personality. 30 points
Crowd Appeal/Reaction – 30 points
Spirit of Mukilteo – What does this city and the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival mean to you? Show us in your entry! 20 points
Performance & Walking Groups – performance-based elements (15 points), spirit (15 points) and crowd appeal/reaction (20 points.)
NOTE:
All motorized vehicles must submit proof of insurance with your parade application. Applications without proof of insurance will be returned. JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF formats accepted.
All non-profit organizations must submit a copy of their IRS letter showing their non-profit status with their parade application. Applications without proof of insurance will be returned. JPG, GIF, PNG, PDF formats accepted.
All equestrian entries must have a minimum of one team of two pooper scoopers to clear the road of anything their entries leave behind before the next parade entry arrives.
